A renowned leader in business and higher education, Dr. Natalie V. Nagthall (pronounced Na-Tal) leverages over 20 years of expertise to drive transformative change. Her career in academia has been shaped by her work within the largest community college district in the U.S., where she gained invaluable experience in educational leadership and innovation. Currently, she provides executive coaching to numerous colleges in the California Community Colleges system, focusing on high-impact practices to close equity gaps through the Guided Pathways framework. Additionally, she serves as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) and Coastline College, as well as an Equity Coach with Achieving the Dream.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Nagthall holds a BS in Marketing and Logistics/Transportation from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and an EdD in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education. Her dissertation explores culturally relevant instructional practices in STEM, highlighting the need to address equity gaps and foster innovative teaching methods for student success. Dr. Nagthall is a sought-after guest speaker and panel moderator at various educational institutions.
Dr. Nagthall is a dedicated community leader who previously served on the board of directors for the South Bay Workforce Investment Board and is the founder and president emeritus of The Pink Tea Rose Foundation, which provides educational scholarships and charitable services to underserved communities in Inglewood and Greater LA. In addition to her other roles, she has served as President of both the Harbor Area (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Theta Mu Omega Chapter. In 2018, she was appointed by Dr. Glenda Glover, the 31st International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, to serve on the International HBCU Task Force, which raised over $10 million for scholarships and capacity grants for Historically Black Colleges and Universities in under four years. Her unwavering commitment to community service and public policy has earned her numerous commendations from city and state leaders.
In her personal time, Dr. Nagthall enjoys traveling, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and exploring new destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Central America, and North America—a passion inspired by her parents' heritage from Sri Lanka and Jamaica. She currently resides in Southern California.
